Yesterday saw us all minus Stew having salt water showers, on the foredeck, from the deck wash followed by a fresh water rinse. So refreshing and cooled us down after our session of step ups on the coach roof. This all occurred post yoga session . Becks and I are getting really good at balancing and resisting the urge to disappear under the guard rail.
It was a bread making day I got my timing all wrong and found myself baking bread at 4.00 am after my watch ! Focaccia was well received as hopefully will be the loaves tomorrow.
Fresh fruits and veg holding out remarkably. Angus and Stew are an appreciative audience for Becky and my efforts in the galley. They report good variety and exceptional quality and flavours . Suck ups - they obviously want more! We are pleased to report the only tins used to date are 3 tins of tomatoes, 1 tin of kidney beans and the duck confit. Supplies are therefore not yet being challenged at all.
We were very excited to be accompanied by a huge whale over supper time last night who surfaced on our port side and then about 10 minutes later surfaced on our starboard side. So majestic.
Other wild life included a poor frigate bird who tried repeatedly to land on the top of our mast and failed completely and had to continue on his way east without a rest.
Thank you everyone who has sent us emails we love receiving them but please remember if you reply to us don’t press reply but start a new email each time . It’s really helpful for our data management.
Angus continues with his sextant practice and finally this morning achieved a position line within 4 miles of the gps. I don’t think we will be getting rid of the GPS any time soon!
We are now about 400 miles from Carlisle Bain Barbados.
