OK so we appear to have now two things that were hitherto missing from our
sailing. We have bright sunshine as well as warm temperatures and we also
seem to have found the trade winds at last so are currently sailing with full
main and full poled out genoa at between seven and a half and eight knots.
To make things even better, we’re going in the direction we want to go.
Yesterday being Sunday was a roast dinner day and we supped on lovely roast
lamb and vegetables followed by apple crumble. Well done Jennie it was
superb.
Slow progress overnight but today has been good so far and we’re optimistic
for the next few days. Another flying fish on the deck when we got up this
morning.
We completed another two quizzes yesterday between dinner and
dessert. Richie was again on fine form and won both of them.
Anthony did an astro sight today and got us within 3 miles of our current
position so the gps is working fine.
Minor vegetable disaster in that we lost our second stash of carrots to
mould. Bit unexpected that but we still have fresh vegetables and fresh
fruit as well as fresh milk which makes the tea taste even
better. |
