We had a nice peaceful cruise down the West side of the Exumas to Staniel
Cay. This is another very popular spot for a number of reasons.

We anchored off Big Majors spot. As soon as the anchor was secured we had a
visit from a 4 foot nurse shark! Everyone got great view of it and
surprisingly the kids desire to swim vanished! Instead we put the dinghy in
the water and went to feed the pigs. There are a number of feral pigs on Big
Majors Spot so we took some old vegetable ashore to see what the big deal
was. If we thought the iguanas were scary and aggressive then they were tame
compared to the pigs. They came charging out of the bushes and SWAM to the
boat. They through their snouts up on the dinghy and opened their mouths. We
carefully dropped in food. Very cool.

After lunch aboard, another great spread by Adriane, we all went to the
Thunderball Grotto to snorkel. This is where the James Bond film,
Thunderball was shot in 1964. We all snorkelled through tunnels and under
ledges into a domed grotto. There was an abundance of fish as we had a great
experience. The kids are becoming very comfortable in the water and it was
our best snorkelling session to date.

We ate at the venerable Staniel Cay Yacht club and had a great meal.
