Good Morning and Awast ye olde
landlubbers!!!!!
Did a 139 nm from 8 bells on the Night watch
yesterday untill 8 bells on the Night watc today.thats 5.8 in average.I
had to turn my cap around so it shouldn fly off.We have been plunging trough a
night of mixed blessings with winds up to 25 knots and a rising SW swell. The
movements is generally quite easy though Rune claimed to have hit the roof a
couple of times in the bow cabin on his of watch. We have had some passing
squalls with 0 visibility and gusty winds. We redused to Storm sail and main last
night but from 2 bells on the Morning watch we have been back to the
"locomotive" Genoa..Last night the Chef suprised us with scampis in garlic sause
with assorted trimmings thereto a chilled chablis. Its good to feel the
sealegs starting to work again. After so many years on cruise ships you
forget how a real boat moves. The change is amazing after 7 days at sea we are
all moving effortlessly with the boat .In honur of passing the halfway mark the
Skipper has voluntered to make Roast leg of lamb tonight. Its for sure going to
to be a challenge in this seaway. It will not only be roasted but shaken and
stirred as well
For now greetings from the "Song"
Capt.
