Its now 3am i'm just finishing my 3 hour watch ,the
boat is going great under twin poled out head sails no main between 6.5 and 7.5
knts.At this speed we should arrive in Lazarote late afternoon.
With everybody asleep you only have the boat ,stars
and sea for company just sometimes you see another vessal in the distance,or as
at this moment another yacht which is about 2 nm off on or port side. Its quite
strange how you get use to the sound and feel of the boat with the sails
cracking as the boat rolls continuing its journey south with just the wind to
drive us along, any sound out of the norm needs investigating as it could mean
danger or a problem looming.Always the constant attention to course ,speed, power
drain.
The kettle has just boiled and i've called John to
start his watch another 3 hours watching over the boat and crew, checking the
systems ,completing the log every hour and making sure we keep on course and
keep up speed..
Its time for my bed
