18:04.06N 063:05.35W We anchored in only 4 meters in Marigot Bay at about 4pm Friday, james went ashore to clear in and was told it was shut, come back Monday! The following morning we cleared in at port St Louis Marina office...all very strange. We dinged across the lagoon to check out the largest Chandleries in the Caribbean they were good, but proved to James that we didn't actually need anything! Had a nice lunch at a dock side bar/bistro called Lagoonies. Following day we left the calm lagoon and dingied around the peninsular to Maho Baie to witness the jumbo jets landing only feet above the beach and wire fence to the runway....incredible. I plopped off the side of the dingy (in my leg brace) and swam through the surf to shore, whilst James put anchor out on dingy and swam ashore with waterproof backpack striding out of the sea like Bear Grylls!
