Muros is a beautiful little town set in its own Ria. We take a bus along to the head of the Ria to Noia with its historic old town but we prefer sleepy Muros. It’s a gentle tourist town but for Spanish visitors and very little English is spoken. The marina is new and not yet in the pilot books so we’re welcomed with great enthusiasm by the marineiro who is keen to show us all the facilities. As well as the usual showers and laundry there is a wifi room, a reading room and a small garden so I’m sure it will soon become very popular. We meet Hilary and Robin sailing Signet, a Sadler 34 – one of the few boats of our size also travelling north so we agree on an early start for Muxia. |
