Churrasca III was built in 1977 at the Nauta shipyard close to Barcelona. Designed by naval architect legend Angus Primrose, she is a very seaworthy sloop rigged sailboat, and I know of at least 2 that have rounded Cape Horn.

When I purchased  her, I knew I was getting myself into a project. She showed an advanced state of abandonment. With a lot of TLC and patience, and help from my friends, I have gotten her to her actual modern state, conserving her classical look and feel.  A boat is a bit of a love affair, and anything related to Churrasca has always made me happy.  She can now go anywhere with safety and even if not as comfortable as modern designs, she has enough to liveaboard happily.  Around her, friendships have formed and now has a small league of followers.  She will do a 160 mile day at her best so far and has put me through 50 knot winds and heavy seas with safety and not too much discomfort for bad weather.  I have lived aboard for periods of up to 90 days without entering harbor.
