We are now in to our 3rd day out of Bermuda and
have had wind just aft of the beam and clear skies since we left. Obviously this
won't last but we don't mind if it does.
For those on line at Brighstone Primary School and
Brighstone Scout Troop we are now at position 33 50 N and 60 10 W on a
course of 070 at about 6 knots heading for the Azores (1536 miles to
go).
Andrew joined us as planned without any immigration
hitches and is now fulfilling his role as nightwatchman admirably. Teg and I are
consequently well rested! There are some depresssions moving quite far south for
the time of year (but well N of us) but we are hoping that these will keep the
Azores high out of the way so we can have a good sail all the way in. We visited
the Bermuda Weather service before leaving who gave us a fantastic 5 day
projection and we will ring them again via the sat phone to get an update
tomorrow.
The new crew has also been helping out in the
galley which will surprise Gill

....and has also bought his own form of
entertainment ( no - not the clothes) which curtails conversation for a while in
the evening!

Better make some brekky before the crew get
tetchy.
