Antigua and Montserrat

We are now enjoying a few days ashore in the old officers mess at English Harbour Antigua while the boat is in the yard (not this one!) having some work done (antifouling etc). Yhe whole of English Harbour is a restored Naval Dockyard from Nelson's era - now full of megayachts (and us). There are lots of beautiful people here (and us) so Teg is having a ball.

Going ashore without the aid of a dinghy, stretching out in bed and unlimited showers are such a luxury!

I really want one of these on the foredeck so I can sing shanties while Teg pulls up the anchor! She seems less keen and prefers steering at times of anchor effort.

The officers mess - now hotel where we are staying at the moment.

We had a great view of Montserrat puffing away (big clouds of smoke and ash falls) on the way up from Guadeloupe which doesn't project too well in this but here it is anyway.

This one is for Pete Saxby so he can't complain when he takes off my next solar keratosis. Obviously I wear this hat from dawn til dusk.

Next stop Barbuda.
