The wind dropped last night as predicted and we were
motoring and motor sailing fro much of the night. We downloaded a weather report
to confirm our decision to go North West instead of the traditional "South until
the butter melts and then turn right" approach and have decided to
take a chance that the weather forecast might be correct! It looks like
several of our closest competitors have made the same choice. Everyone else has
gone South and are also sitting in a wind hole!
We are currently about 10 overall but hopefully we can
make up some of that tomorrow.
Some of the crew took the opportunity to catch up on
some sleep!
