We passed the halfway point yesterday morning with a clinking of our cups of
morning tea (still a dry boat) and basked in a gloriously hot day (well into
the 30's), partially due to a Southerly breeze of circa 10-15kts, which is
pushing us along nicely at the moment. We've also changed course to head
further South to pick-up the trades and avoid a low with little wind in
front of us - a little longer maybe but still in the right direction and if
it avoids motoring all well and good.

Fixed the kettle, so happier, although not having too much success in
sorting the batteries which could tour into a real issue long term - not
given up yet though!

Life on board is chilled, but things to constantly sort, so day's just fly
by and evenings just require us to hunker down into our shift system,
although our 4 x 3 hour individual rotating watches appears to be working
well, its just a ball ache having to get up at either 10pm or 1am depending
on shift. Had a back to nature session this morning with Kevin and Paul
strolling around in their underpants - not a nice sight. Skylight - Kevin's
also been a good boy and doing his exercises!! Keep getting a bite on the
fishing line, but most the time the fish gets away, including our line and
lures. Been asking the other boats what lure we should be using to catch
mermaids but no-one is forthcoming!

We are now operating at UK time minus 2 hours, having gone through 2 x time
zones and coming up to our next at 48deg W. We're also tracking to the final
waypoint at Antigua, which is currently 1144nm away, with an estimated
duration of 189hours! Not that we are counting the time/distance until we
hit the bars and go AWOL for 2 days solid!!

OK enough for now, sunbathing required.

Cheers,
Paul, Kev & Paul
