                | Day 14: Salvador to Cape Town. Well, all has gone well since the last entry... we
are over half way there.. still proceeding SE to get into good wind. To the
south of us are the remote islands of Trista De Chuna and Inaccessible Island,
from Patrick O'Brien's book "the thirteen gun salute", author of "master and
commander". There has been quite a change in temperature as we move south, night
time temperature is down to 14 C, 18-20 by day, considering a week ago it was
troppical heat day and night. Not much in the way of traffic either, one ship
spotted on day 10, our only other company is the four or five sea birds
which have been following us for the last few days. We ran out of Spuds yesterday, so its pasta and
rice from here on, but the meals have been excellent and varied so far. We have
also started to bake bread every couple of days now. And worst of all, "We Have
Run Out of Wine"!.... "but never fear when one has Beer!"
eh........ keep sending the mail in, we will try to reply when
weather is agreeable. We download our mail almost every day, the blog on the
other hand we tend to leave a few days between them for the sake of the
G.E. Map, (if we did one every day it would seem like we were hardly
moving). |
