6th March: OK, so it will look like a short
overland trip on Google, but getting here was a 55 mile solo run against the
winds, tides and seas then struggling up the shallow mangroves in
semi-darkness. That's after finally managing to get out of Danga Bay marina -
the siltation was such that it had to be an 11 am start, once the tide was high
enough to go over the bar; that's its main, indeed only drawback - sometimes the
keels are sitting in the mud.
So, here in Sebana, swimming pool et al, now
waiting for arrival No 1 son and maybe Scouser mate. Then up to Tioman is the
tentative plan - if weather permits. It's still blowing a bit up
there......
