We
set off for Spain, across Biscay on Saturday morning in bright sunshine but not
a lot of wind. Once away from land there is not much to see although
we have seen lots of Dolphins just before dawn this morning - they appeared when
Adam was in bed and I was steering, they stayed with the boat for about 20
minutes leaping alongside although it was too dark to get any pictures or see
more than shapes jumping in the waves. Adam has seen another Whale about
40 miles off France - only about 20 yards off the boat, I turned around in time
only to see all the ripples in the water so not happy Adam has seen two wWhales
and I have seen none.
First
night in Biscay was fine - the visibility isn't great and it is very dark with
no moon - but at least there is no land to run into!
