Late breakfast as usual, children stayed up too late the night before!
Set off to Agni Bay towards the top of Corfu. On the way over saw the first sight of the forest fires on the mountain top. The sea-planes were collecting water with helicopters to douse the fires we watched the planes swoop down over us and skim the water before lifting off for thr hills.

Very hot trip over which took 1.5 hrs in full sun, sun bathing and book reading to pass the time, rewarded by a lovely bay for snorkelling in lovely clear water with anchor chains and fish everywhere.

The children swam ashore and jumped off the jetties while sensible adults collected all the sundry for a beach trip. We had lunch at a very expensive restaurant and swam some more. Sharp rocks and lots of sea-weed gave rise to lots of fish which were not frighted by the constant sea-plane activity overhead. evidence of the fires with ash on the boat and water around us.

On return to Gouvia we had pizza and beer by the pool whilst the kids swam.
