We have set off this morning 0930hrs for the short hop to Quinta do Lorde Marina on the island of Madeira. We left a day early as the forecast meant tomorrow would be an unpleasant day afloat with the wind on our nose and a reasonable swell. Its a big pity we did not get the time to leave our mark on the harbour wall as we had no paint on board and intended buying some today. Porto Santo is one of those places where visiting yachts paint a mural with their boat name and date. A bit like a  visitors book I suppose. We will be prepared next time.
Although we have the main up the wind is almost on our nose. Our ETA into Madeira is 1500hrs this afternoon. Sky's are overcast but its humid. Crew is scattered around the boat, Clodagh eating breakfast, Roisin gone below for a nap, Ciara stretched out on deck with her earphones plugged in, I am blogging and Brendan is below preparing an egg and bacon. Smells good.
So good I think I might have some myself. Gotta go. Oh no, he just had the last egg!!
