The gathering of the fleet in Nelsons's DockYard,
Antigua.
The gathering of the fleet in Nelsons' Yard was special in
its own right. The historic officer's quarters, stores and shipwrights buildings
all echoing with the ghosts of past seafarers, traders and soldiers provided an
extra edge to the start of our adventure. The start line was set up under
Shirley Heights with a starting canon – Valentine across the line amongst the
leaders and the fleet was off !
