Preparations continue here in Punta Arenas, but......

The weather in Antarctia has been unseasonably bad this past week, and two
expeditions that were due to have flown out over the past 8 days, are
still grounded here in Punta Arenas. Due to high winds and unseasonable
big snowfall, there has not been one flight from Punta Arenas to
Antarctica during this period. This doesn’t bode well for me and Richard’s
expedition as we are both due to fly out on Wedneday, but this is seeming
unlikely to happen now. The waiting game is about to begin, and with the
similar experience I had in the North Pole, I am at least prepared the
mind games that await.
