Today it was sunny !! 08:00hrs walked back up to the boat yard and told them the correct part numbers. Mr Rousseau said he had contacted his suppliers and they were familiar with the gear box and had the parts in stock (thank goodness). Returned and moved the boat to allow our English neighbours to get out and slotted back adjacent to the pontoon. Much better, saves clambering over someone else’s boat every time we want to go ashore. We then got the bicycles ashore and we went for a ride, first of all to collect the written estimate from the boat yard then to ride up into the town and on to the town of St Mammes. Had a picnic lunch beside the River Seine then picked up some provisions from a small supermarket and then rode back to Moret- sur- Loing for a beer in the local bar then back to the boat. Tonight we will go and have the crepes we didn’t have last night.
