Up bright and early and called into Rousseau’s Boat Yard and spoke with the proprietor about the repair and the likely time that it will take. He was reluctant to commit himself until the correct parts could be located (fair enough I suppose). We then gently chugged up the river to Halte Fluviale (about 0.5 miles) and tied up alongside a large cruiser occupied by an English couple their daughter and grandson. We then walked up into the town and used the services of a small internet café to check our E mails and to update the mailasail blog. We were going to have our evening meal in the local creperie but when it was time to leave the boat to go to the place it absolutely threw it down with rain, so we stayed and ate aboard. That evening John Landsdell rang me with the necessary part numbers for the repair. (thank goodness and well done, that’s a dinner I owe him!) Still cold and damp in the evenings.
