The winter storms are developing off the North Carolina Coast, sliding past New England and on to Nova Scotia, one right after another. We're still hoping for a good window to head south. Meanwhile, last night we got a winter storm dumping 8 inches of snow on the deck. In the high winds our anchor drug -- it caught on a 25-foot long log and pulled it down the river with us. Freeing the anchor from the tree was no easy task but all is well now and we're tied up to the Bridgewater Public Dock, snug and warm inside SeaQuene thanks to our new generator. We'll keep you posted!
