Noon to noon run of 157.0nm so once again consistent.

The wind that I thought would be with us for a few days decided differently and it has been light today so our speeds are down a bit this afternoon although it is very pleasant.

Not much to report today really. One of those days which went by quite quickly for some reason and I don’t think we achieved anything apart from keeping the boat moving and the daily chores. There are one or two small repairs that need to be done, one being the toilet pump needs changing, which I might tackle tomorrow but nothing major, unless you classify the toilet as being major….

We had an amazing overnight sail last night with a very clear sky and a moon that is almost full. The boat was sailing really well and with the light from the moon shining on the surface of the water it was one of those special nights you get mid ocean sometimes.

I have been plotting our route on a Pacific Ocean planning chart which for convenience is folded into quarters. I thought we had come a long way until I opened the chart today. This is a big ocean and we will not even be half way across when we get to the Marquises Islands. We probably have another 1500nm to our halfway mark between Panama and Australia. However the remainder of the individual passages are much shorter than this.

No fish today but no gear lost either which is positive…

All well onboard

Cheers
