Bonjour! After finally leaving England behind we are now in France! Despite having an enjoyable time in Helford River, we are glad to be here and look forward to exploring Brittany's food, sunshine and landmarks.
We left for France at 5 o'clock in the morning and arrived 18:00 in L'aber Wrac'h. Although there was light winds we motored for all of our channel crossing. With the help of seasick pills and lots of books, our trip was a pleasant and our arrival in France was a happy one!

After arriving in L'aber Wrac'h for a good nights rest, we set out the following morning for our current port, Camaret. To reach it we had pass through Chanel du Four, a tidal race marking the western corner of Brittany. Sailing past cliffs and seaside towns we spotted a lighthouse next to the ruin of castle (see below).

Meanwhile all of this was happening Robyn and I have started homeschooling! In geography we have been doing weather projects, measuring temperature, rainfall, barometric pressure and so on. We have been working our way through a french Asterix with mum and are reading books like our lives depend on it! Also, Robyn and I have been creating Scratch projects for ICT, but we have been working hardest on textiles... Our boat is being invaded by Robyn and my creations... sock creatures! Made from socks (and one out of tights), my sister and I have been using instructions for a sock monkey to make different animals! Robyn's is the elephant and monkey and the other two (the cat and cow) are mine!

We will be going next Morgat and Ile d Glenan but for the while we will be staying Camaret with its warm weather, sandy beaches and rich pastries! Au revoir!
