Well, here we are. back in Falmouth after 2500 miles

During the last 24 hours there has been little or no wind. Using the engine proved to be the right choice, and without it we should still be 100 miles out in Biscay.

Indeed, the last fifty miles has been an oily calm, with only the jumping fish ( ? sardines ) to ruffle the surface.

We came past Black Rock at 02.30 Sunday, but it was too dark to see it, even at 100 metres

We felt our way up river to the marina. It was pitch black and dead low water. Whatever leading lights there are had been lost in the backdrop of street lights and civilisation. This last half hour was perhaps the most demanding of the whole voyage.

By 03.00,  our berth came as a very welcome conclusion to a few sleepless days, and a fun filled trip.

Let's see what next year has to offer !
