Tim and Rhona arrived in time for diner ashore on Saturday evening, and just in time to get a few hours sleep before we sailed east on Sunday morning back to the Rio Guadiana

Passing out through the breakwater at Coulatra we met a very large and confused sea. It is always a bit unpredictable, but this was far worse than expected. Clearly the ebb tide was meeting some opposotion, but there was little in the way of wind or swell to give any obvious answers.

We motored for five hours to Ayamonte, on the Spanish side of the Rio, and had a lazy day there on Monday.

On Tuesday we had a brilliant sail back to Olhao in time for dinner ashore before Tim and Rhona flew back on Wednesday morning.

It was then a day for cleaning and stowing in preparation for our sail back to Falmouth.

Sue left this morning, and David Rider arrives his evening. It blew old boots last night, and the weather looks unsettled. However, the barometer has been rising for the last 24 hrs, so we might be alright to sail on Friday morning.
