We arrived in Jo’burg after a wonderful flight. Kenneth had entrance to the Business Class lounge......and we DIDN’T!  Needless to say, I wangled my way in and we were treated royally.  The waitresses insisted on spoiling Kenneth and I with Champagne......yes, Kenneth too, was served Champagne in the form of a Bucks Fizz!

After a superb flight, where Kenneth and I partied all night, we landed into a drizzly Africa, a little respite before the blaze of the African desert.

We have had two superb nights with our delightful host and hostess, Francois and Marti who have spoilt us incredibly.

Today we packed the cars for our Desert trek. We have 30 litres of white wine, 232 cans of beer, 12 bottles of red wine, 196 cans of coke (all Kennenth’s), 48 cans of sprite, and as you can see, we have the essentials......oops and 220 litres of water plus 3 and a half kilos of biltong.....!!!!

After an extremely productive and educational day, we are all about to retire, in the hope of waking up at 4am! We leave at 5am, 3 cars in our convoy to Vastrap Guest House, Gruno in Namibia, a 1250km drive from Jo’burg.  Sleep tight..... we will!!!! K&K
