Winds have dropped to circa 12 knots and veered round by 15 degrees with our boat speed dropping to around 5.5 knots.
So this morning we gybed and changed the sailplan from staysail and poled out genoa with no main to full main, staysail and poled out genoa.
After breakfast we hoisted the spinnaker to get the boat speed back up.  Now making circa 7 knots in 12 knots of wind.
Noticeably south now as the temperature is a steady 27-30 degrees centigrade both day and night.
We are seeing a lot of weed which is stretched out in long thin lines running in the same direction as the waves. Might it have something to do with the north equatorial current which at present we are running with?

Highlights to look forward to today.......

Showers, afternoon matinee on screen 2 then screen 1 after supper.

As we have no internet we wondered if Mrs. Kern and her echelon at St Lawrence could find out if there would be any whales in the seas around us at this time of year?
