Wind has not increased as the grib files promised but we remain ever hopeful. We need to make the Straits of Gibraltar by 1300 Tuesday to catch the tide. According to the forecast we should then have following winds up the Spanish coast. AS I write the wind has just increased . GREAT NEWS.

A large Mersk container ship has just overtaken us on its way to The Straits. It was a wonderful sky blue colour, different from the usual black.

The good news today is....Russell had a shower!!!!!
The better news is about James’s  bread. He had the formal cutting at lunchtime and lo and behold it turned out perfect. Great taste after that Bimbo stuff we have been eating.

We do not intend to stop at Gibraltar but to carry on up the Spanish coast and if necessary call at a port if we need any more provisions. We will have an assessment of stores later  and decide.

This is Sunday so no work schedule. All crew are relaxing in the sunny but slightly chilly conditions. Many books being read.
