NOTE: Message resent as feedback indicates that Tuesday’s blog wasn’t uploaded.

Monday brought more head winds, dull skies, motor-sailing and frustration! Having used a considerable amount of fuel, we had no option than run to the island of Sao Vicente.

Despite the frustration we managed to see a family of Sperm whales: Father, Mother and two calves. This was a fantastic sight.

Dermot tried fishing again and claims that something very big took our ‘squid’ lure. We have yet to establish the truth....

Today (Tuesday) we arrived into the marina at 07:30 local time and are currently awaiting our turn at the fuel dock. Between times, Dermot and Mike have gone shopping for some supplies. The plan being that we set off west for St. Lucia ASAP.

We have ~2100 miles to go and it is going to be tight to make it back in time for our flights home. We will be trying very hard to keep our daily mileage up.

Work to be done to get ready for departure today, so the blog today is brief.

Keep you posted on progress.

Kind regards,

Skipper Ivan and crew.
