After a farewell to Peter and Karina we had an industrious week at the Marina Las Palmas, trotting about the local chandleries on a regular basis.  Rolnautic and Accastillage being the favourites, we have accounts with both and are greeted warmly on the basis that we are about to spend loads of money.  We are just slightly ahead of the arrival of the ARC people which is a relief but you can feel the fever starting to rise as yachties start ticking off their pre-Arc lists.

We moved to the Real Club de Nautico on Tuesday which was a very wonderful thing.  The RCN de Gran Canaria is a private yacht club/sports club in Las Palmas with 7000 members.  Absolutely great with swimming pool/gym, good restaurant and very helpful staff.  Jorge Cantera (RYS member) greeted us on arrival as we motored around from the Las Palmas Marina.  We can keep our boat here in this super comfortable marina until we move back to Las Palmas Marina before the start of the ARC - we will move back at the very last minute.

Thoroughly caught up with the luxury of RCN, we checked into a 5* hotel - Hotel Santa Catalina - for 3 comfortable nights prior to our return home for 6 weeks.  Glorious infinity pool and cute pool boy.
