Monday 24th November

Awoke to what looked like sunshine and wind just under 20 knots; things are looking up! Much frantic activity and crews of approximately 40 large yachts all trying to use the single toilet which inevitably blocked and stopped working altogether!

George reminded us that we should have tuned  into channel 9 to get the last weather forecast by Rally Control before we left; we caught the end of it wishing us fair winds and ‘bon voyage’.

We then heard what sounded like the voice of God (in Spanglish) also wishing us well followed by what sounded like a live Spanish/ Mexican band; convincing enough until it sped up sounding like the chipmunks followed by it slowing down.

We are now just waiting for Alastair to get back so we can take the final group photo before we push off.
