Still happily plodding along, wind and swell about the same as yesterday. A new speed record for the trip was set by Paul yesterday at 14.5 knots although I think we will struggle to make up the time we lost in the wind hole last week. We spent 24hrs with the sails on the deck whilst everyone who avoided the hole carried on sailing and those in the cruising fleet motored through. Not to worry, a safe and happy arrival in St Lucia will be more than enough. At night we are currently being bombarded by flying fish. One bounced off the boom and another off of Sarah’s head. For three nights we have been taking part in a pub quiz on ssb with some of the boats from our pontoon in Las Palmas. It has been great fun and a reassurance to know that everyone is around. Our only regret – running a dry boat!! Pizzas ready now so signing off.
