Still plenty of wind although down to about 25knots now but with fairly large swell. After some minor damage (very minor mums) to the rig on day 2 we are doing the whole crossing with one reef in the main sail to protect the rig a bit. With the wind and swell we have dropped the kite. Even with such reduced sail area we managed 13.5 knots last night. The swell makes for interesting cooking and general moving about below. We had pancakes for breakfast this morning and I am still cleaning up at one in the afternoon. All still smiling although the number of bruises is going up steadily. Incidentally if anyone is looking at our position in the fleet overall – don’t be alarmed, I don’t think these have been corrected for engine hours yet, of which we of course have none. Booo.
