Hi, still going wind is about 20-25 gusting 30kn, we have been unable to hold the kite so sailing a course under main sail only. This as you can imagine is fairly slow and hard going. We have spare water today so we will be able to have our first wash of the trip, this should improve our living environment. Val has matched the speed record 14.2kn under double reefed main only! Attempted to pole out the jib today but ended up just getting a sea water bath. Should have thought about the strength of the established trade winds and our sail plan with the level of experience onboard. Anyway only 1448 miles to go + some for the occasional tack.
