Less than 1000 miles to go, 888 as I write, Last night in celebration we had a Gin and tonic (with ice and lemon!!). The occasion was somewhat marred by a viscious lurch which sent a whole dish of curry onto a sofa, we have been clearing up this am. Usualy the wind vane self steering copes well withe the following swell which is now 3+ meters high on occasions, having been blown across 2000 miles of ocean that  we have now traversed, but every now and again one catches her stern sideways on and she lurches sideways and rolls through 30 degrees causing cupboards to rattle/open, spillage and especially in the night expressions (coarse) of lack of appreciation by the usually tolerant crew. We are now in our 12th day of the NE trades so every day  is very much the same, we see a lot of sea, alot of sun and starlit moonlit nights. The breeze is also perfect for where we want to go so it seems churlish to want a bit of variety. IF things dont change we should get to Antigua perhaps on Monday next which will be the 14th.Best wishes to you all, ARES
