Last Day

By our estimates, this is our last full day at sea. We are 43 miles from our next waypoint in the Sombrero (Anegada) Passage. We should be making landfall by mid-morning tomorrow. We may or may not be able to get another blog post in before then but stay tuned. We'll be docking at Bobby's marina, which has a great bar where the locals and old salts hang out. It'll be nice to get a cold draft beer and a shower.

Last night was better than expected. We didn't get any squalls, as was forecast, and we were consistently making 6.5-7kts on a broad reach overnight. This is despite the fact that we were still reefed down.

Steve is making pancakes and bacon again for breakfast.

The flying fish seem to like Alex. They only jump in the boat when he is on watch.

They may be cute. But they start stinking up the place almost immediately.

This looks like a good sign that there are fish to be caught. So we'll try catching dinner again today.
