Position 17.58.1N 029.37.6W Day seven on the big brother boat and something
very fishy is going on. It all started when our first flying fish landed on the
boat, since then we have fish landing on us all the time. This inspired Bob to
get our line out. Lure attached he cast off the back of the boat, within an hour
the line went taught, the rod bent but it got away. Another bite quickly
followed but same result. But then, success, line taught, rod bent and it stayed
that way. Bob donned life jacket, clipped on and began the long reel in. The
rest of the crew reduced sail and slowed the boat. There is was our first fish
caught by Bob. Big grin on his face, he stood with pride holding up a lovely
Dorado. Dispatched swiftly with Whiskey ( The fish not Bob) it is in the freezer
and will be served later with a little tomato and garlic pasta. YUM. Apart from
that all is good, Lion King carries us safely west although at the moment we are
heading for Virginia because of wind direction and we only have around 1800
miles to run. So if things stay as they are we will be in Antigua around the
23rd. As we are seven days in a special treat is in store, a shower for each
person on the aft deck so we no longer be a smelly crew!!
All the best and have a nice day
