All well on the good ship Lion King

We left La Palma at 15:17 hours yesterday with a few people waving us of. Our position now 26.57.2N 017.54.2W
The little wind we have is on the nose so we have been motoring ever since leaving. Not good. But hey, it could be worse, at least the sun is shinning, the sea is blue and it gives us all a chance to settle into routine. We had over ten Dolphins with us for around an hour yesterday who seemed to enjoy our leisurely pace and were in no rush to leave. Mathew was on ‘mother watch’ yesterday so did all the cooking and cleaning and a great job was done. Today Bob is mum and he has just delivered some fruit to keep the wolf from the door until lunch. Our fishing line is out but as yet not a nibble, the one thing we know is it still has a hook on it because Bob did not tie it on. He has tried to  teach us the Canadian Fisherman’s slip knot but his knot slips!!! and after losing so many hooks we have decided this is a skill we do not need. Paul is better today after not feeling well yesterday which is very good. Our route for the next day or so takes towards the Cape Verde until we can pick up some north wind, then slowly turn west avoiding a depression forming about two hundred miles west of Cape Verde.
Well that is it for now
Until tomorrow
