Arriving at night and trying to find a place to anchor was rather a nightmare. But we woke up in a beautiful place. Saw loads and loads of whales.

The islands of the National Park of Abrolhos are located 65 km from the coast of Bahia and the city of Caravelas. There are five islands plus the Reef Timbebas. Crystal clear waters with temperatures between 24 to 28º C, create an ideal environment for corals and fish to develop . Diving is excellent in Abrolhos, and it's possible for both certified divers or begginers. The main attraction from July to November is the arrival of the HumpBack Whales to this area to mate and give birth. It is incredible to encounter these creatures in nature and have the opportunity to take pictures. The whales are protected and it is forbidden to go within 100 meters of them but you will still get to see and hear the whales. In the year 2000 there were 800 adults and 74 babies recorded

Winds are still good so must push on !! Another place to send more time at on the way back.
