Title: A cool head?

I have sent a begging email to a number of friends asking them to sponsor me having my head shorn to raise money to buy the hospital here a blood analyser.  With this machine, we could get a more extensive range of tests for our patients, mistakes would be fewer than with the archaic manual methods used at present and the load for overworked lab staff would be reduced.
 
I promised to post a series of pictures - before, during and after my scalping.  I just thought a bare head would be more comfortable, now that we're into the hottest two months of the year.
 
So here's the first of the series - before the event.
