Saturday pm - does this tale have a twist to it?

Rumours abound as we close on St Lucia.  180nm
for 24 hours.
Satori couldn't hack the mental pressure of no
spinnaker and losing both line and corrected time honours to the smaller
Gwylan.  White Flag raised, engine on, as they rush for a cold beer, rum
punch and Caribbean beauties.  Running a dry ship clearly made them
bottle.
A Lady is rumoured by Tom's Dad to have used 14
hours of engine time.  At 6 knots that is 80nm of difference from where we
are (and we don't know how ARC calculate the engine usage penalty).  Did A
Lady really use the engine?
Sarabi are 6 miles behind us and we have gained 1
mile in the last 24 hours against them.  Windflower further
back.
The Manager has been talking about the need for
FOCUS, take it an hour at a time, no we are not thinking about the end of the
race.  At the moment he is not thinking of any substitutions.
Nicky and Lara have been administering exfoliating
foot massages for the crew.  Tom has a headache which has
the ship's medical officer excited as it might
provide a use for the first aid kit.  So far Tom doesn't agree he needs
mouth-to-mouth resuscitation through the fancy mask or antibiotics.
Lunch was coronation chicken, al-dente cabbage with
pepper, and fresh mango for pudding.
Pippa and Michael's old Fujitsu computer crashed so
we are on Otter hardware.
Tom won at Oh Hell.  Nicky wasn't
last.
No fish caught on either the titanium lever drag
rod or Tom's trolling line.
