Good holding equals a good nights sleep.....up early and we were ready to leave for Mayaguana some twenty four hours of sailing the deep cobalt blue waters.....our weather guru, Chris Parker, was sleeping in since was a Sunday, but we had checked with him before leaving for Rum Cay and his three day projection suggested favorable conditions....so we were off.....food for the trip prepared and ready, sleeping bag in the cockpit with pillows, water...lots of water to drink and our waypoints set....first way point was 98 nautical miles away...southeast, with winds ranging from 5 to 16 knots apparent, coming from east, northeast. Our sails set, at close reach, however with winds still low we had the motor on in order to arrive early the next morning......passed three sailboats heading north, three big ships, and saw three dolphins......"things come on threes, and sometimes things go as planned"........we arrived at Mayaguana and anchored just inside the reef, leaving a track on the chart plotter to follow out in the early hours of the next morning.............
