The wind has gradually dropped over the past few days.  We are now trying to make the best of 3-6 knts of variable winds, managing to make 2–3 knts over the ground in roughly the right direction.  We will put the engine on if we are totally becalmed for a long time but we only have a limited amount of fuel which restricts our engine use.  With no deadline to make the Azores, other than our food running out, we are happy to just keep ticking along slowly and enjoy the flat seas.
 
The upside is we are able to get on with jobs.  I’m trying find a very elusive leak from the heads but the rather unpleasant odour of this job is currently being masked by the mouth watering smell of Chris baking bread and rolls.  Just about any food tastes good at sea but there is little that can beat freshly baked bread.
