There is a lot to say about our experiences at Ahe atoll.  The local family who live on one of the motu (small islands forming the ring of the atoll) invited us to anchor in front of their house.  So far we have seen how the the pearls are “made”, how they are extracted and participated in the process!  At first feel exciting but then you realise it is actually a hard job. 

We went for a picnic in the pass (where the main entrance of the atoll is), swam with lots of fish, touched a shark.  I then went hunting (spearfishing) with the locals and understood that I have a long way to learn... these guys were bringing a fish after each dive!
