Have tried to send this several times since it was written but the Sat Phone is having a problem making a connection.  This Blog was for 1800 25/5

So we are finally off from Horta.

We had an early start and were waiting on the fuel berth when it opened.  Still some fun with that with the fuel coming out in a dribble to start with and having to be reset several times, they had not fully sorted their electrical problem that had shut the fuel pump down yesterday.  But in the end we were full and back waiting for the rigger when they opened.

The problem with the new fitting for the shroud that had stopped us yesterday got sorted by some new wire being used and we quickly refitted it once it was done.  The wait was then customs etc.  There are boats arriving all the time and there was a queue of people coming in which resulted in a long wait outside several offices.

But we are away and heading for Gib!  We are currently between Pico and Sao Jorge on a nice sunny evening, Mum is cooking burgers and chips!  One slight fly in the ointment is next to no wind so we are motor sailing.  But forecast looks good for most of the passage.
