Hello from Ceilidh where cabin fever is just about starting to set in!  Sam J is asking me when we will get in every hour!  Its like driving somewhere with kids saying “when will we get there”  LOL!  Sam K is dreaming of Beer and ........

So how has today gone?  Not bad as we have covered 145 NM which has put us 137 NM closer to the WP.  Last night was much like the one before, overcast with some heavy rain squalls and not much wind in the early hours.  For a couple of hours there was no wind and the “Donkey” was in use till about 0900, before the wind picked up enough to sail.  Trouble is that once the wind picked up it backed again.  So we are back to heading a little North of where we want to.  But as the sun came out late morning and it has only just started to cloud over it has been a good “days” sailing.

We have had company for the day, at first light a yacht was sighted about 2 NM off our port bow (we had not seen any lights?).  They are now just on the horizon in front of us having pulled slightly away all day despite our best effort to catch up.

Good sun sights again at “Mer Pass” and mid afternoon fixed us to within 3 NM of GPS, so practice is paying off.

On other matters Sam K says Happy Birthday Jack!
