We decided to go to Beaufort to leave Berserk there. We have been in
intracoastal waterways most of the time but on Monday to Wednesday
we sailed on Atlantic ocean to save some time and we came back
inshore just before the Hurricane Andrea started. We found a dock at Joyner Marina in Carolina Beach. We waited there for better weather, wind blew from 25 knots and up to 50 for a short time. From there we continued north and came to Swan Point Marina, it was an interesting arriving, the 5 people that was on the dock when we arrived came to help and pulled with ropes us to dock because it was low tide and we where on ground. Now we are in Beaufort North Carolina fixing the boat for the winter. We traveled a total of 1521 nm. Me päätettiin suuntaa Beaufortiin ja jäättää Berserkin sinne. Olemme liikkuneet intracoastal kanavia pitkin mutta maanantaina päätimme mennä Atlantin merelle jotta matka menisi nopeammin ja keskiviikkona tulimme taas mereltä pois koska myrsky Andrea oli nousemassa. Löysimme Joyner Marina sataman Carolina Beachissä. Odotimme siellä että sää paranisi silloin oli 25 solmun tuuli joka välillä nousi 50 solmuun. Kun jatkoimme pohjoiseen tulimme Swan Point Marina satamaan joka oli mielenkiintoinen paikka, kaikki 5 jotka oli silloin lauturilla tuli ottamaan meidät vastaan ja vetivät meidät laiturille koska vuorovesi oli matala ja otimme kiinni pohjaan. Nyt olemme Beaufort North Carolinassa laittamassa vene talvikuntoon. Me matkustimme yhteensä 1521 mpk. Many of the bridges we went trough where bascule bridges.
