About 4000nm to go!

Hi all readers,

Well the boat is ready  (well as ready as most can be at this stage).  The crew arrive from UK this weekend.  Store up Monday, sail Tuesday, aiming for a test sail to the Mar Menor, than a short stopover in Gibraltar where Andy has a little work to attend to.

Skipper – Andy Petty

Team:  Mike Povey  (Gunnislake, Cornwall and Saltash Sailing Club) UK – Round Britain 2010 (2 handed)  veteran.

Adrian Waller: Canterbury, Kent  - a survivor of Clipper Ventures 2012 Pacific rough crossing and a sucker for punishment!!

Boat:  Hunter Legend 41    “Mariposa Blanca”

Departure port:  Torrevieja, Alicante, Spain.

Destination:  Tortola, BVI.

Owner:  Peter Stanway, with an abode in the US and currently thought to be several feet under the snow blanket that just arrived!  Hopefully with snorkel and sense of humour in place.
