We have been in Malaysia for just over one year and
should be departing for Thailand within the next week.
Preparations for our passage back to the Mediterranean are well in hand and we
should be back in Turkey by April/May 2011.
But first we have to run the gauntlet of the
pirates. By joining a convoy and sailing in company we hope to
reduce the risk of this happening. Our travels in the New Year
will take us to the Maldives, Oman, Yemen, Eritrea, Sudan and Egypt before
entering the Med. We are excited about the forthcoming
challenge and look forward to exploring this ancient world and meeting its
people.
Life here in Rebak has been extremely good over the
past year, although we have had time away travelling, but as they say all good
things have to come to an end and that will be happening very soon.
